Launched in 2001, the Dot NAME universal extension is the only one intended for personal sites only. These domains can be personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other labels people are famous by. Initially, solely 3rd-level registrations were allowed, so if you planned to order john.doe.name, you were supposed to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were liberalized and 2nd-level registrations were also allowed. Already purchased 3rd-level domain names remained running.

Through our company, you can buy your dot NAME domain for a time interval between 1 and 10 years. You will be able to change the WHOIS contact information, to park your domain, to edit Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an existing domain to our company if you acquire its EPP transfer authorization key from the current domain service provider and we will renew it after the transfer has been finished. There are no particular terms on who can obtain a .NAME domain name, but in order to maintain the idea behind its establishment alive, the .NAME Registry may verify who the owner is and if there is no relation between the owner and the actual domain, the registration can be challenged.

The dot NAME TLD is among the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no added cost. In this way, your .NAME domain will be recognized in your country or area with the right spelling in your native language.
